Embracing Positive Body Image
Did you know that over 91% of women have negative thoughts around their personal body image EVERY DAY? Negative self-talk can spiral into decreased energy, sleep issues, immunity issues, etc. An impactful thing you can do for overall health can work towards developing a body neutral focus. This can create a perspective around body love and positivity. What your body can do instead of tearing it down - this can increase a healthy relationship with your mind and body.
Changing the perspective of how you view your body can start with the offering the care, respect and compassion your body deserves. Starting to practice gratitude of noticing all the fantastic things your body can do for you on a daily basis, finding activities and exercise that improves how your body feels, and learning to listen to your body; such as honoring and befriending your body instead of punishing it through vigorous diets or extreme fitness routines. It doesn’t have to be perfect, but neutral is a great place to start!
