The body is designed to MOVE! When we remain sedentary consistently our metabolism begins to slow down. Try setting a reminder to get up and get moving every hour that you are sitting!

·      Next, strength training is such a fantastic way to protect your health and achieve long-term results. Strength training improves metabolism, helps with balancing hormones, improves our bone health and so much more!

·      Managing stress and slowing down is another key component to our health! When we have high levels of stress it can slow down our metabolism. Make sure you are eating in a stress-free environment. Schedule downtime each day to focus on grounding yourself; even if you only have 5 minutes per day to yourself it can greatly affect how your body holds onto stress.

·      Lastly, get OUTSIDE! Getting adequate exposure to natural light especially in the morning can create a harmonious rhythm in our body. Our metabolism begins to regulate, our appetite is controlled and our energy increases. Try getting outside each day for a boost in your health and your mood!
